GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

• When to Sow: Late summer/autumn (for early blooms next year) or early spring (March–May).

• Sowing: Sow directly where they are to flower. Poppies have taproots and do not like being moved. Surface sow onto finely raked, weed-free soil and press in lightly.

• Light: Requires a position in full sun.

• Germination: Usually occurs within 10–21 days.

• Care: Thin seedlings to 20–30cm apart to allow the large flower heads room to develop. Once the flowering is over, leave the pods to dry on the plant if you wish to collect seeds or use them for crafts.
